Practical information

We have reached the maximum number of applicants both in person and online for 2021. We hope to be back in 2022 and we invite everybody interested to follow on Facebook for updates!

Teaching period

The summer school will be held from 30 August – 10 September 2021.
It will consist of 56 academic hours of teaching activities inclusive of traditional ex cathedra lectures, classroom training and group activities and a half-day roundtable.

Hybrid event

Because of the pandemic of Covid-19 and the restrictions imposed by various governments and also due to the difficulty to arrange international and domestic travel, the summer school will be held as a hybrid event. Participants able to be in Genoa for the whole duration of the summer school will be attending in person in a physical classroom at the premises of the University of Genoa which will ensure the enforcement of all applicable laws and guidelines in terms of health and safety.

Participants unable to be in Genoa for the whole duration of the summer school will be attending via the Teams by Microsoft platform. Interaction between learners in presence and remote learners will be assured.

Some of the teachers will be in presence, whilst other will contribute from a distance, depending on the existence of travel restriction and the availability of international transport.

Certificate and accreditation

Participants who actively participate in the whole course and successfully complete the assigned coursework will be issued with a certificate of attendance.

The course has been credited by the Department of Law of the University of Genoa with 9 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits.

Fee and payment

No tuition fee will be applied. Participants attending in person will be required to pay a symbolic contribution of Euro 100,00 which will be used to provide lunch breaks throughout the two weeks period.

Admission procedure

Applications will be examined on a rolling basis and interested candidates are therefore invited to apply as soon as possible. No more than 25 participants will be admitted. Please write to summerschool@eu-los.eu.
